The BRAG Vision statement offers the following:

We will be recognized as the leading force and resource within the retail and related industry for people of color. BRAG fulfills these objectives through several action programs, which include:

The Executive Development Series
unique interactive workshops designed help individuals, at all stages of their career, identify and devise action plans to breakthrough barriers to success.
The BRAG Internship Program – a comprehensive work and professional development module designed to expose students of color, who are rising seniors, to the industry.

The BRAG Scholarship Program - awarded annually to deserving students who have achieved academic success and who exhibit financial need.

The Annual Scholarship and Awards Gala
recognizes the achievements of African Americans and others, in retail and related industries, who support the BRAG mission.

The Annual Bring–a-Toy Holiday Event – is a community service initiative where we brighten the holiday season of New York City children by donating toys to several community organizations.

Black History Celebration - exists to raise awareness about the contributions of African-Americans.

Retail and related industries are supported significantly by African Americans and all people of color.  Conversely, studies have shown that members of these populations do not easily enter into the industry at all levels.  Great strides have been made, but much improvement is still needed.  It is BRAG’s mission to narrow the gap between the disproportionate numbers of consumers to the disproportionate numbers of people of color in middle and upper management.
