Shawuan Johnson is currently an SVP/GMM at VS&CO. She has over 20 years of experience in
diverse business channels and categories. Shawuan is known for her impactful leadership style
and her exceptional ability to build high performing teams.
Shawuan is a dynamic industry leader with a proven track record of driving growth and
transformation through product innovation along with relevant and impactful retail execution in
both brick & mortar and digital channels. She has an expansive driven mindset and is always
searching for what’s next.
Shawuan started her career at Ann Taylor and has held leadership positions at The Limited,
Esprit and Tommy Hilfiger, prior to joining VS&CO. Her experience has covered North America
and International Markets.
In addition to her strong industry background, she’s a fearless advocate and supporter for the
advancement of diversity in fashion. Shawuan served as a senior advisor for the African
American resource group at PVH and is a dedicated mentor for young women of color in the
industry. She has also served on the board of Custom Collaborative, a non- profit organization
who help women from low income and immigrant communities learn to design, sew and sell
sustainable fashion.
Shawuan has a B.S. in Business Administration from U.N.C Chapel Hill.
